Flamenco Organic Coffee Company had a great showing at this year’s Coffee Fest in Minneapolis.

The roastmaster, Jesse Grote, and roaster, Alan Erbach, worked very hard to prepare our coffee offerings for the festival and we were all very impressed with the outcome.

Bali Blue Moon - Dark Vienna Roast – Pleasant and heavy aromas, which include Fig Newtons. A refreshing, lightweight body with dark cocoa and raisin overtones. Dry, lingering finish with a buttery coconut aftertaste.

Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Oromia Cooperative – City Plus Roast – Decadent aroma of toffee, fresh flowers, and lemon zest. Mild acidity and a light, slippery mouthfeel, followed by a rich, resonant coconut finish.

Colombian Quinchia Cooperative – Full City Roast – Punchy aromas of grapefruit and spice. A consistent and mild brew with a silky mouthfeel. Dry, oily finish.

At Flamenco, we pride ourselves on many coffee factors from the quality of our green beans we begin with through the roasting process all the way to the finished, brewed cup. We personally cup and evaluate all of our coffees before they are ever offered to the public. We have always been confident that our coffees were great, but getting a 90 score on one of our single origins really gets us excited.

2010 Dominican Republic Origin Trip

Flamenco Organic Coffee Company had the extreme pleasure of taking part in an amazing coffee origin experience from the 24th-28th of February this year. It was truly educational, beautiful, and humbling at times.

The Flamenco crew learned all about the Dominican Republic coffee growing process in the mountains on six different farms. We were blessed with great weather and good company and I’m not sure the trip could have gone much better as a whole. Here are a few pictures from our adventure. The Flamenco crew is very lucky to be able to make a trip to Dominican Republic to visit our FlamencoDirect! farm, Jamamucito Estate – Las Aromas . We had hoped to spend a day in Haiti doing service, but due to many factors, that experience unfortunately won’t be possible.

We bought these t-shirts to give out to people in Haiti when doing service, but won’t have that opportunity. That being said, these t-shirts are now for sale to you with all profits going back to the people of Haiti.
